Critical feedback that actually lands
A strong performer has started interrupting teammates in meetings and dismissing quieter voices.
Strategy
Use SBI + an ask so the behavior is named without making it personal.
I want to talk about the team meeting rhythm. In the last two syncs you jumped in while others were still thinking out loud. It is shutting down contributions I know we need. Going forward, I would like you to pause after you make your point and invite one other voice in before you respond. Can we try that?
If they push back
If they say they did not notice: 'That is why I am bringing it up. Let us track it together for two weeks.'
What not to say
Do not label them as dominant or rude. Stick to the pattern.
Follow-up
Quick check-in at the next one-on-one: how did the pause feel?
